David has been around locks since he was 5 years old. As the business grew, he grew in his knowledge of the lock hardware industry, visiting factories in Mexico and as far away as Italy. He became an instructor at the Associated Locksmiths of America conventions on MIWA magnetic locks. He is President of the Cathedral High School Alumni Association, a 4th-degree Knight of Columbus, a founding member of the El Paso 5-Points Association, and attended the University of Texas at El Paso. On his spare time, he enjoys going on long walks with his dog, Oliver Saucedo .
Whether it was learning how to cut a key at 10, going on service calls during summer vacations or being present at important business meetings as a 15 year old – growing up in the family business has fueled David’s passion to lead The Saucedo Company into its 100th anniversary and beyond. He graduated from both Cathedral High School and theUniversity of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. David is currently very active in the city of El Paso, he is an investor in the Borderplex Alliance, President of the Boys and Girls Club, member of the Mayor’s Young Leaders Business Roundtable, Board Member for the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and a 4th-degree Knight of Columbus. He has appointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott to the Board of Nursing. On his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball and reminding himself that he was once good at it.
At a young age, Maury quickly realized that being around locks was a lot more than just fun, it was in his blood. He once unintentionally memorized a pin placement card to key a sophisticated removable core, no small feat for a 9 year old. He is a proud graduate of Cathedral High School and from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York where he received a degree in Hotel Administration. Maury is determined to exceed the expectations of customers - he spends his time constantly researching new products and upgrading business processes to ensure that customers have the best security experience possible at The Saucedo Company. Maury sits on the board of directors for both the 8a Association and Cathedral Alumni Association and is a member of the Mayor’s Young Leaders Business Roundtable.
